Introduction to yoga

In ancient times human faced lots of problems in life physically and mentally. To protect human mankind from this kind of issues sages find the way through meditation and extra ordinary powers and wrote it down in Indian culture it is called “Darshan”(दशॅनम्)

 

Awareness of yoga

According to the Indian scriptures the lord of the yoga practices is lord Hiranyagarbh

हिरण्यगभॅ योगस्य वक्तानायः पुरातनाः ||

In GEETA lord Shree Krishna said that “Oh Arjuna! I’ve given yoga knowledge to the Lord Sun,then he delivered it to his sun Ishwaku and other kings that’s how yoga is spreaded over the world.

 

Origin of the yoga word

Originally yoga word ids derived from the word “युज” which means “to engage”

 

Different definitions of yoga

According to Maharshi Patanjali :

योगश्चितवृतिनिरोघः || “

According to Kathopanishada :

तामयोगनितिनन्यते स्थिरांइन्दिय धरणाम् |

तां योगमिति मन्यते स्थिरामिन्दयधारणाम् ||

 

According to Geetaji :

समत्वं योग उच्यते |”

योगकमॅशुकौशलम् |”

 

IMPORTANCE OF YOGA

In today’s busy life everybody wants a good health so for that individual should develope the habit of doing daily yoga and meditation daily.

 

Its proven by WTO yoga is the bridge between one’s mental and physical balance.

 

When one starts yoga he/she has to follow “YAMAS” “NIYAMAS” of yoga so the discipline will come into the life of human.

IF parents develop the habit of yoga into their child so comparatively it’s easy for the child to handle one’s self in tough times of life in future.
